In this interactive diagram game and student assessment page, students have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the many processes in the nitrogen cycle and how it impacts all living things. Students begin the activity reading through a guided set of cards and following the steps to create a detailed diagram of the nitrogen cycle. Once they have a basic understanding of it, they can then create the diagram without guidance and answer higher-level thinking questions to begin to better apply what they know. The activity is designed to move students from working through a collaborative learning experience to a point where they can demonstrate their individual mastery of the nitrogen cycle and its processes.
