NOTE: This is a PC version of the program. A MAC version is available as a separate product.
The purpose of the “No Bullying Allowed!” program is to provide a gentle, nonthreatening, and fun environment for learning how to recognize and effectively eliminate bullying in the classroom. The program spans one week with formal group activities on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as well as individual follow-up activities on Tuesday and Thursday. “No Bullying Allowed!” builds on the story of Tilly Bumperbill. It starts by examining how and why Tilly was bullied, expands into discussions of other types of bullying, and finally, examines ways to prevent and stop bullying behaviors.
The program downloads in a zip file which contains a 44-page Teacher’s Guide and a 23-slide PowerPoint Presentation.
The Teacher’s Guide includes:
• Preparation checklists and detailed lesson guides for Monday through Friday.
• Handout and activity sheet masters (crossword puzzles, word searches, mazes, crafts, etc.) for use throughout the week.
The PowerPoint Presentation provides the illustrations, text, and optional audio for the story of Tilly Bumperbill which is used as a basis for discussion throughout the program. Tilly was quite different from the other Bumperbills. She lived an isolated childhood until one day when something extraordinary happened that brought a friend into her life and eventually made her one of the most popular kids in Bumperbillville. This story provides a whimsical, non-threatening basis for discussing issues of bullying, being different, and friendship.
Paperback copies of “Tilly Bumperbill” are available through Amazon.com. They contain the same illustrations and text as the PowerPoint Presentation.
