No Prep Apraxia & Progress Monitoring is a great tool for working on producing sound segments while at the same time collecting data. Data can be a struggle to do with fidelity and then track over time. This product helps to streamline the process – all in a No Prep manner. Each Apraxia Practice sheet has 10 pictures focusing on a sequence of consonants (C) and vowels (V). Apraxia of speech is a motor speech disorder. The motor disorder may cause the individual to have difficulty producing sounds, syllables and words. The goal is to work on the planning, sequencing and coordination of muscle movements. Breaking words into consonant and vowel combinations provides for those sequenced movements. Each stimulus picture has 10 boxes underneath to collect the data. You can quickly collect data on a particular word or on the whole page (10 words). Percentages can be easily gathered and written at the bottom of the sheet and then logged in the Apraxia Progress Monitoring data log provided.
Specific directions can be written to customize the Apraxia Practice sheets for each student. Students may have to say words at the word level, repeat words up to 3 times or even use them in a sentence. For example, you could write down that the student will say each word one time.
Practice Makes Perfect!!!
Each sheet can be printed out and used in a variety of ways:
*Drill sheets in therapy and you can record responses directly on the form
*Self-monitoring by the student to collect their own data on their performance
*Homework to practice at home and they can add a tally mark every time they practice the word
