These silly sentences are sure to have your students in giggles! This activity is perfect for those students with sentence-level articulation goals.
ᛜ 26 pages of silly sentence activities - word and pictures included.
ᛜ Each page focuses on one phoneme in the initial, medial, and final positions of words (with some minor exceptions – /h/ and /w/).
ᛜ All pages are black and white for easy printing.
ᛜ Provide each student with a page that targets their articulation needs.
ᛜ Decide which student will work first. The students will take turns.
ᛜ While the first student is working, the second student can color his or her silly sentence sheet.
ᛜ The student is instructed to roll a die three times.
ᛜ Die Roll 1 = The first set of 6 pictures (initial production of phoneme).
ᛜ Die Roll 2 = The second set of 6 pictures (medial production of phoneme).
ᛜ Die Roll 3 = The third set of 6 pictures (final production of phoneme).
ᛜ After each roll of the die, the student would match the number on the die to the picture in each set.
ᛜ In the sentence strip above, the student would fill in the blank with the word rolled.
Example: Silly Sentences /p/ - The __#1____ is in the __#2___ with the ___#3___.
Goal: To say all of the words correctly in the sentence by the end of the session.
Send the sheet home for extra practice.
ᛜ Note: You can also use this activity to target words or phrases. Simply leave out the sentence portion. Continue to allow the student to roll the die to decide the words to produce.
