Includes two fun lessons designed for 8th-10th grade English students. These activities could work for drama students, too.The first lesson is based on Romeo and Juliet, but does not require the students to have read the play. It is a mystery item expository writing game, where students randomly choose a printed computer graphic which contains items from the play. They fill out a clue sheet, describing the item. Another classmate guesses their item, based on their written clues. The second lesson is on retold fairy tales. Students will use a questionnaire to get them brainstorming about what fairy tale scene they will rewrite. They may also choose to use a fill-in-the-blank writing prompt. Enjoy the break from creating sub plans. By Shakespeare Snippets.
