This was an activity that I utilize during my Probability unit in math at the end of the year. There are three different activities that you can utilize. All the worksheets sort of mimic one another, just using a different festive, summer word. Your students will need to cut out the letters of the word, then place them face down, mixing up the cards. They will then select a card, and then record the letter. They will do this a total of 20 times, then analyze the data. You can have them think of probability in terms of fractions; writing the answer as fractions...or simply as a number. This is pretty basic in terms of Probability. It would be something I use at the beginning of the unit!
