"I Was Just Kidding" is a phrase heard much too often in response to confronting inappropriate communication between peers. This no-prep ASCA standards based lesson addresses helpful or hurtful teasing, gives information to enable students to identify how teasing can become hurtful, and gives real world situations for students to analyze and determine what type of teasing is involved and how to know when teasing has gone too far.
This No Prep lesson includes: lesson plan, pre/post test, powerpoint, teasing tip sheet, and 5 teasing scenarios.
ASCA standards covered are:
PS:A1.6 distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate behavior
PS:A1.7 recognize personal boundaries, rights, and privacy needs
PS:A2.3 recognize, accept, respect and appreciate individual differences
