Math Squares are the best way to get most out of your planning. Cut the math squares before class and your students will have fun gluing and creating their own math worksheets.
Since each time they chose a square, the possibilities are endless.
I like to keep my squares in little tin buckets from the dollar spot at Target.
Winter Math Squares include:
adding 2 numbers
adding 3 numbers
adding to 10
adding to MAKE 10
even or odd
least to greatest
greater than, less than, equal to
1 less, 1 more
10 less, 10 more
100s chart puzzle
show me the number (number word, base 10, etc.)
counting up, counting down
skip counting (2, 5, 3 and 10)
A few minutes spent slicing up the math squares and you've got yourself a math center for many different levels!
