Show them a picture or your tablet, computer, or SmartBoard and ask them to do one or all of the following:
1) write about it
2) describe it or create a "caption" for the picture
3) read the facial cues to determine how the person or animal might be feeling
4) talk about what expression the person/animal is giving based on their facial cues
5) use fluency strategies while talking about the picture
The options are really unlimited and it can be tailored to suit your needs. The best part? Great graphics with no need to print them out and waste a ton of ink!
