This packet contains fun, engaging Winter Game (2018 Olympic) activities that may be used to help preschool – 2nd grade practice using pronouns (he, she, they), verbs (bobsedding, figure skating, playing ice hockey, snowboarding, ski jumping, skiing, curling, luge, athletes carrying torch, skeleton racing, biathlon), basic concepts, and vocabulary to participate in the winter games in Pyeongchang, Korea (jackets, snow pants, boots, stocking hats, mittens, skates, sleds, ski boots, skis, ski poles, googles, helmet, snowboards, snow shoes, ski hill, ice skating rink, etc.). Other vocabulary terms include Woljeongsa tower, black bear, white tiger, and Pyeongchang, Korea.
All activities may be used for MIXED GROUPS for a variety of purposes such as asking and answering questions, conversation starters for students working on carry over of skills in articulation and fluency, sentence formulation and expansion, eliciting a language sample, etc.
There are no digital interactive features with these activities.
Included in the Activity
24 pages of pictures for iPad, computer, and/or smart board, with the cues on the bottom (i,.e., who, what, where) to elicit sentences.
A list of questions that could be used throughout the activity to elicit vocabulary, sentences, and discussion.
One set of 36 vocabulary cards with 3.5” x 5” pictures. These may be duplicated for card games.

Suggested Activities – No Print (Download to your device and go) or Copy and Laminate
Ask the question, “What is happening?” If needed, model the correct sentence pointing to the cue shapes at the bottom of the page.
