Sometimes the simplest of actions can have the largest impact, and I have found that children need to be taught how to create neat orderly lines which have an intent. Being mindful about how they put pen, pencil, marker, or crayon to paper will train children to think about how well their own mark making will result in other areas: their handwriting will be better, neatness improves, and they will naturally think outside the box rather than creating the typical scribble scrabble marks you undoubtedly see every day.
These five lessons start with the very simple to more progressive exercises where the children are forced to think for themselves. Plus they are a whole lot of fun - they won't realize they are learning lifelong concepts! Exercises average around 30 minutes and only simple materials are required - no mess! Includes sheet for children to work on.
