Description
ALL materials are in PDF format and also sold separately at my TPT store. May also be included in other bundles.
Suggested pacing:
Introduce author with a slideshow then have students work with a partner on the web quest. Once students have completed web quest, they share out their responses. I usually have them organize the information and write a paragraph ¿Quién es Juan Rulfo?
Pre-teach vocabulary with slideshow and have students work on vocabulary building activities and then review responses.
Read the story as a whole class activity, pausing to reflect and have students paraphrase what has been read.

Students work on a grammar review worksheets (Preterit vs Imperfect)
Students work on an analysis for story (homework).
Class reviews assigned homework.
As a closing activity, students are grouped and work on the open ended questions.
The next day students share out their responses for the reading comprehension questions from the prior day and then take a short quiz.
This lesson usually takes about two weeks. I meet my students daily for 40 mins.
