This differentiated set gives you 6 different activities with varying levels for mixed groups plus worksheets for homework! The pictures make it perfect for kindergarten nocturnal animal themes, but you can also develop vocabulary, word association skills, and sentences for explaining.

It can be used completely independently from the book 'Goodnight, Owl!' by Pat Hutchins, but is fun to use after reading it, as well. Two of the worksheets are only for use after reading the book, but the rest can be used totally independently.

Activities include:
1- Play the Goodnight Owl board game.
2- Make and play an open the flap activity.
3- Play a lotto game by matching each animal with an associated item.
4- Play a card game- Tell a fact or give it back!
5- Identify animals in PHOTOS as daytime or nighttime animals in activities.
6- Play a spinner memory game.
7- Complete the worksheets for homework or as an independent activity.
