Are you looking for a fun way to practice mental math throughout the year? Do you want a game your kids will beg to play over and over?
Noggin' Bandz is the activity you've been looking for!
How to play:
Choose one child at random to wear the headband. Without the child looking, attach one number card to the front of the headband- either by paperclip or Velcro.
Next, the child takes a quick walk around the room to ensure all students have a chance to see the card.
Students who have a clue, using mathematical vocabulary or real world examples, should raise their hands.
The child with the headband may choose three peers to give their clues. Next, the child should make a guess as to what number is on their head.
Play continues until everyone has had a turn or until time runs out.
Repeat this game during the week, adding new numbers as needed.
