It’s NOGGLE time. This game is just like the classic, Boggle, except with numbers instead. The aim is for students to create as many number sentences as they can using the numbers provided. Numbers can be used more than once, but both the question and answer numbers must be visible in the number grid given.
Included in this set are 20 different game boards. The game boards can be used in a multitude of ways. You can give all students the same board to complete against each other, or mix it up for a different challenge. Students could work individually, in pairs or groups.
I find these boards make the perfect quick brain break or fast finisher activity. You could even display the gameboard on an IWB as a math warmup.
These games were designed to practise multiplication and division skills. They are also great for reinforcing fact families or inverse operations as students want to create as many sums as they can.
Every gameboard is accessible at a variety of levels. Each gameboard includes basic (5x2=10) and more complex sums (7x8=56).
No prep required, simply print the gameboards and you’re ready to go. I like to laminate mine so they can be reused with whiteboard markers.
