Give your middle school students a visual aid to keep their noise volume at an appropriate level, no matter the activity! Develop students' ability to self-regulate while building a positive classroom culture, teaching your behavior expectations, and involving students in the decision-making process!
These colorful "Sound Code" signs represent different volumes and levels of talking/noise, so your students will always know when they are supposed to be talking, sharing, staying quiet, or working in test mode. The set also includes two options for "title" signs, depending on how you use this resource.
Possible Ways To Display:
1) Post all four sound code posters (red, orange, yellow, and green) in a column and move a magnetic marker to the sound code you want students to follow. This allows for easy switching between sound codes! Involve students by discussing which sound code is appropriate for a particular activity and assigning a student to move the marker when it's time to switch!
2) Post the "The Current Sound Code Is..." poster and place the current sound code underneath it. This allows for zero confusion about what your expectations are!
These decorative posters are sure to positively enhance your classroom management plan and kick your "back to school" off right!
