Are your students often chatty? Are you looking for a positive incentive for your whole class to keep your classroom noise level down? This is the perfect visual display just for that! Use this as a oral and visual way to tell students your expectations for the noise level in your classroom. Before each activity, tell your students the noise level you expect, and move the arrow to point to that level. During the activity, if students are not staying at that level, remove a "N-O-I-S-E" letter. It is a great visual reminder to your students, without you having to give an oral reminder. If students lose all letters, you can come up with a consequence like the whole class misses recess, etc. On a positive note, an incentive can easily be implemented. For example, if students don't lose any letters in a given day, they earn free play. Great way to promote and build whole class team work, too!
