Identifying items based on a NOT characteristic is an essential skill that builds organization, vocabulary, discrimination, and more. A deficit in this skill can have implications across academic and functional skill areas. These task cards take target a wide range vocabulary concepts and can address many types of IEP goals at a more challenging level.
This set includes only two items per card. Students need to attend to the clue and utilizing reading or listening comprehension skills to infer and identify the non-example. Less options means the student cannot identify the one that doesn't belong - they need to attend to the non-example clue.
This resource is perfect for independent work, guided practice, stations, or partner work! I love having task cards in every center of my classroom for quick practice on a daily basis!
