Is it time to talk about the organization of the non-fiction books in your library? If you use the Dewey Decimal system to organize your books, then this will be a great activity for your students.
This activity includes six sets of Task Cards (8 in each set). Each task card includes the title of the book along with the Dewey number and first three letters of the authors last name. The title of the book is included so that students can see that those Dewey numbers that are close in proximity focus on similar topics.
Math skills are a must when organizing these decimal numbers. This is great activity to get students up and moving, communicating with one another, and learning more about the library!
