Are you gearing up to do a non-fiction unit of study with your students this Spring?
If so, and you are planning on having your students learn and read about oviparous animals (hatch from eggs) and/or lifecycles of oviparous animals, this 'EGG'-citing pack is sure to engage your young readers and foster independence!
This set of readers was developed to be used in my kindergarten class because I could not find age appropriate non-fiction readers for my students! I want to encourage independent reading, focus on non-fiction, learn about oviparous animals and have my students feel like confident and independent readers and information gathers! After searching long and hard with no luck, this set was developed! I hope it helps you in your search!
Please download the preview to see how to assemble the books, as well as 1 page from each of the readers!

Use the books to guide 'research writing' too!
The new Common Core Standards require that students read 50% Non-fiction text, but text at lower levels is very hard to come by! I plan on making more non-fiction readers in the future, so please consider following me to receive notification of future uploads!
