This set of 48 non-fiction guided reading task cards is perfect for guided reading or students' independent reading activities. These question and activity cards will help to develop your students understanding of non-fiction texts. Included are 12 question cards in each of the following areas:
12 questions about the author's purpose, content and audience of the book.
12 questions about the organizational features of the non-fiction book such as contents, glossary, heading, sub-headings, diagrams, captions, illustrations etc.
12 questions about vocabulary, tense, person, punctuation, glossary words etc.
12 activities for students to complete based on the non-fiction text to deepen their understanding of non-fiction text types.
The cards are four to a page. Simply print out and laminate for question cards that can be used again and again for any fiction reading book. Also included is a blank sheet of task cards for each of the four designs included for you to write your own questions on.
Also included is a UK spelling version of the task cards as well as the US spelling version.
