If your thinking about purchasing this product, grab it while you can. It is offered at $1.50 until December 11th! It will go back to its listed price of $2.75 then.
This is a fun alternative to a Non-Fiction Book Report. Students will first read an approved Non-Fiction Book and then pick out important sub-topics. Students can use the provided notecards for sample sub-topics or generate their own ideas on the blank cards. After reading, students will write 3-5 sentences based on the sub-topics. Next, students will pencil sketch and color illustrations that support their writing. Students will also create a "Photo Album" cover page with an illustration of their topic along with a title. All sketches will be completed on a background that looks like a photo! (See sample in preview). Students will also include the title of the book where they read the information from. I have included student direction pages and a rubric for teacher assessment. My students loved making these and they are a great piece to add to a portfolio. Please take a look at the preview with the photo samples! You will see photo samples of a student in the middle of completing her project on Sea Turtles. Enjoy!
