Using Text Features
This unit was created to help introduce to students to non-fiction text features.
These short informative text passages were written to help students identify the importance of text features while practicing close reading. There are five non-fiction passages. Each has a vocabulary sheet and two or three activity sheets or text-dependent questions. There is a sixth article with two pages of text-dependent questions. It could be used for additional practice or as an assessment tool.
