Mini Booklets and Non-Standard Measurement Rulers included. This is a fun and engaging activity for your students.

Measure around the classroom using non-standard measurement rulers! I have created an independent activity for your students. Students use a non-standard ruler (3 provided) and measure around the classroom.

This product has three different non-standard rulers to differentiate your students needs (or to allow your students to have three different experiences using non-standard measurement).

'Shamrock Rulers' are built in increments of 10. Students can count easily by 10's while measuring. For example: If the classroom door is 5 shamrock rulers long and an additional two shamrocks, students can count 10, 20, 30, 40 ,50, 51, 52. The answer would be 52 shamrocks long.

'Pots of Gold Rulers' are built in increments of 5. The same classroom door would be 5 Pots of Gold rulers long and an additional two Pots of Gold. Therefore, the student would count, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 26, 27. The door is 27 Pots of Gold long.

Using the Gold Coins Ruler, students would be counting by 2's (or 6's as there are 6 Gold Coins on each ruler). Same door would be 5 Gold Coins rulers and 2 additional Gold Coins. The answer would be 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 31, 32 Gold Coins long.

There are three booklets, each coordinating with what ruler(s) you have your students use. The classroom items that the students will be measuring are all common items and the same in each booklet.
