Use this activity as independent practice in math centers or with a small group as reteach.
Center #1: Provide the kids with (Day 1) an eraser, marker, clipboard, and plastic egg (Day 2 - for Variety) - tape holder, screw, key and calculator. Also give them paper clips and unifex cubes to measure the objects. Have them measure it at their tables in a center (with a partner or two) and write their measurements on the form.
Center #2: Fill up 2 different bags with three different objects are three different lengths. Have the students order them from shortest to longest and visa versa. Examples of objects to put in bag (pencil, string, straw, paper clip, eraser, magnet strip, bear counter, tens rod, etc).
Center #3: You need pink ribbon, yellow ribbon, blue ribbon, paperclips, glue, and scissors. Have your students measure out the length of each color ribbon according to the directions then cut their ribbon to match that length. Glue it in the correct spot on the sheet.
