Keep unnecessary interruptions at a minimum!
Using non-verbal hand signals in your classroom helps with your classroom management.
It helps you know what students need, and keeps them from shouting out.
In my classroom, it was like a chain reaction: 1 student says that they need the bathroom, and then all of a sudden 10 more need it too! After I introduced hand signals in my class, the interruptions decreased since students weren't calling out.
Hand Signals help prevent interruptions and distraction in the classroom.
