The label "project" in this product means read and respond-that's the only creation! This project offers students a lot of choice, and it will get them interacting with non-fiction texts.
Students/teachers choose ANY non-fiction topic/subject-based book (cars, sports, etc.) or non-fiction narrative (even auto/biography). Students read, finish sentence starters regarding point of view and author's purpose, make check-mark choices that cause reflection on the text structure/organization, and best of all is that they will take notes by choosing their very own VIP's (very important points). Response forms can be filled in as students read or when they're finished, creating an end of book project.
