The following are short high interest reading comprehension activities (bell ringers). They can used at the beginning of class, at the end of class, to review a lesson, or as exit slips. They can also be used as part of a literacy center for lower grades or as an alternative reading assignment for struggling students or those with special needs.
These activities can help you teach your students how to locate text evidence and finding the main idea.
