No-prep, "Nonfiction Text Structure Book Report!"
With this resource, you'll find a thorough book report template to be used with any nonfiction science or social studies book in your classroom or school library. Great for assigning different nonfiction books to your entire class, early finishers who were assigned to read a nonfiction book from the classroom library or even great easy sub plans (lay out the books, copies of the book report and projects) and you're good to go when you need quick easy, but meaningful plans.
After answering questions that involve informational text structure concepts such as summary, main topics and more, students will choose to complete two out of five differentiated projects based on their "expert" knowledge of the book with explicit directions. I use this many times a year and let the students do the book reports in pairs and they love it and are extremely engaged in their books.
