Ever tried using a "learning model" option with your students? We use "learning models" as a form of assessment in our personalized learning space. Students are give choice in how they demonstrate the major standards covered on a particular topic.
This "learning model" was done after our Nonfiction Reader's Workshop Unit of Study. They were so excited to show off their skills. Our students use these digital pieces as artifacts for their digital portfolios, as well! This document includes directions, digital options, and a 4-point rubric. It covers 6 different CCSS for Reading Informational Text. When purchased, you will also find an example that we created together in class linked to the document. Don't forget to check out our blog for more about how we use learning models in other subjects, as well as student samples! Happy Reading!
