This Reading Guide has been designed to guide students through reading a chapter of a textbook. We know that reading complex textbook material can be stressful for students, and this sheet can help students organize new information and their ideas. Students record new terms, people, and importance places in designated spaces and then use context clues to record their meanings/significance. There's also space for students to make questions out of chapter/section headings and then to record their answers. In addition, there are reflection students that students may answer on the sheet or as an exit ticket, and there is space for students to apply their knowledge of new terms by writing or ilustrating. This document is made available as a Word Document and would be GREAT in Social Studies and Science as a routine guide to complete while reading.
