This nonfiction reading passages pack is perfect for 2nd and 3rd grade reading teachers!
This nonfiction reading passages pack was created to provide materials to teach all of the Common Core Informational Text Standards for grades 2 and 3. Teachers can print out the resources and will be ready to use for instruction! Over 35 possible lessons provided! These materials are ideal for small groups but could also be used for intervention, enrichment, or even whole group.

Provided in the resource are passages on 6 different topics:

➝ Great Leaders
➝ Mount Rushmore
➝ Grizzly Bears
For each of these topics, 3 passages are provided in order for teachers to provide leveled instruction to their students. All three levels are provided with complex text, but depending on the level the amount of text is altered. Those struggling students may require breaking down the paragraphs, sentences, or even words for full understanding.
Additional Resource Pages- Provided for each topic that have links to online videos, pictures, and sites as well as recommended additional texts with links to purchase.
➊ Comprehension Questions➝ Leveled comprehension questions are provided for the leveled passages with primary and regular lines. (short answer, multiple choice, and true/false) Answers Provided
➋ Asking Questions➝ Students can develop questions that they still have regarding the topics. Primary and regular lines provided.
➌ Comparing Texts➝ Students can compare the passage with additional text on the same topic. (provided for 2 passages)
➍ Using Diagrams, Charts, Pictures to Gain Information➝ Students will use additional images and text in order to share more information.
