Description
Do you struggle with teaching your students the strategies to use when reading nonfiction because you don't have nonfiction texts to use as an entire class? Zoobooks are a great solution to that problem! They are of high interest to your students, easily found in your school library, easily ordered online and even easily reproduced for shared reading experiences.
In this unit which teaches many of the Common Core informational standards for third, fourth, and fifth grades, you will find a 40 page student packet, detailed lesson plans for 20 days of instruction, three assessments, and seven reading workshop mini posters which can either be printed out or displayed from PowerPoint using a projector.
