No-prep, engaging book projects for classroom and library nonfiction science books!
After reading their science book, the students choose from twelve projects that equal 100 points. Projects range from identifying key concepts to making a flyer or even developing expert questions; the projects are fun and kid tested and approved! Pass out a different science book and this menu of projects to every student and you have a rigorous no-prep science lesson! Great for group work, individual work or homework. Print and go science-reading lessons.
Great for whole class, group work or for an additional challenge for your advanced learners or early finishers (assign a science book to your students, provide the project list and they will be completing a relevant, science based book project).
Research states that the best way for students to research science concepts is authentically through literature and these projects will allow the students to dig deep into the concepts in the book they have chosen or were assigned.
A rubric is included.
