Product Description
This pack includes 28 task cards that help students review non-fiction text features. There is a recording sheet for student responses. Students can play "I Spy" around the room with task cards and self-check their responses with a QR code reader.
{Directions are included for "I Spy" and how to use QR Codes}

I took pictures of real non-fiction guided reading books to make the activity more authentic to what they would really see in a book.

Students will practice and review non-fiction text feature skills such as:
-Title & cover
-Maps
-Headings
-Labels
-Captions
-Bold words
-Glossary
-Index
-Table of Contents

Types of questioning range from basic to more complex about non-fiction text features {Ex: What kind of non-fiction text feature is shown? to How does a caption help you understand more about this book?"}

This is another great way to reiterate the importance of non-fiction text features and how they help you as a reader!
