This set of organizers will help your students understand nonfiction text structures, analyze informative texts, and/or organize informational writing.
• Nonfiction Text Structures
- This powerful page displays five types of nonfiction writing, their purposes, and a visual organizer. It may be used for instruction, as a poster, and/or as a handout.
• Five Nonfiction Text Organizers
– One organizer corresponds to each type of informative text: description, sequence, compare and contrast, cause and effect, problem and solution. Each page provides a visual concept map of the text (e.g., web for descriptive, flow chart for sequence, Venn diagram for compare/contrast).
