Using signal words or other clues from the text, students will read ten nonfiction passages and identify the text structure used by the author.
Text Structures Worksheets: Each worksheet contains 5 passages (One worksheet focuses on peanuts, and the other worksheet focuses on whales). Students read each paragraph and identify the informational text structure of the paragraph.
It addresses the following five text structures:
→ Compare and Contrast
→ Cause and Effect
→ Problem and Solution

Each worksheet is a two page document (photocopied back-to-back will produce two two-sided worksheets). An answer key is included.
