Presidents Day Text Structure Craftivity: This engaging activity puts a fun spin on learning nonfiction text structures! It also results in a creative bulletin board or school hallway display for President's Day! It can even be used as a valuable addition to your students' interactive notebooks!

Students begin by reading the five passages and determining the text structure of each passage:

→ Sequence

→ Compare and Contrast

→ Cause and Effect

→ Problem and Solution

→ Description

When they finish, they turn it in for you to check the passages. (Therefore, this activity can even be used as an assessment!)

Then, students assemble the craftivity. They color and cut out the pieces and glue them to construction paper.

This product includes detailed instructions (with photos) for your students to follow. It also includes a teacher instruction page.

Note** This project can be completed at any time of the year! I first designed the craftivity to do with my own students in February around the time of President's Day. However, I know that this might not work in all classrooms. Therefore, at the end of the product, there is an alternate title box provided for teachers who opt to do this project in a month other than February.

I recommend that you check out the PREVIEW!!

You can also purchase this as part of the following ELA Craftivity BUNDLE. February Craftivity BUNDLE: Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Black History Month
