This pack was created to provide high interest, informational texts and activities for your students to explore during the months of December and January.

Students can read and answer questions about the thematic topic from an informational article written on a 2nd-3rd grade level. They can also find the main idea of the article. Additional materials are included to allow students to continue to explore and research each topic. Materials for both a simple research project and for a more formal research project are included.

Five topics are explored in this pack: arctic foxes, blizzards, polar bears, snowy owls, and the North and South Pole.
