After my students began graphing nonlinear functions, I realized that they spend a great deal of time getting hung up on details, such as scaling their axes and so forth. I wanted to have a quick, get-down-to-it day during which they could just get in and graph one exponential and one quadratic function, and this is what I came up with.
I use this activity within cooperative groups, and I circulate to make sure they are getting the purpose of the questions.
