Nonsense Word 8th edition Board Games

These board games are a great way to practice the new 8th edition nonsense words in your classroom. They can be used and reused multiple times to practice reading nonsense words with CVC, blends, digraphs, and silent e patterns! Very little prep time is needed for each game. BONUS: Included are quick check worksheets to check for understanding!

Directions: Have students place their markers on start. Player draws one card and reads the nonsense word. If the word is read correctly they move forward 1 space. If the player answers incorrectly, then he/she stays on their current space. If a player draws a special card then the player follows the directions on the card. The game ends when they reach the finish.
