Description
Students will practice blending VC/CVC nonsense words in a unique, fun way!
I have used these fluency fans with my RTI groups as extra practice for blending VC/CVC words. Students like to race each other to see who can read the most fans before the timer goes off!
There are a total of seven pages, with four fan blades on each page containing six nonsense words. Each fan blade is mixed with different vowel sounds. This activity helps students improve VC/CVC word reading skills. You may use this resource in a variety of fun ways
(partners, small group, independent, etc.). It's an easy way to get some extra practice at the beginning or end of a lesson reading VC/CVC words!
This year, I have really focused on my younger students and developing fun, engaging ways to help them read whole words. This is one of many games that has helped and kept students motivated and excited during reading.
These fans are easy to assemble! Just cut out each blade and fasten together with a brass brad fastener! I highly recommend using card stock to improve durability and laminating the blades before assembling the fans!
Thanks for your download!
