How to Use Your Download?
These cards cover all short vowels. Words and nonsense words are in a CVC pattern. Simply sort the cards based on whether they are real word or nonsense word. Place the cards under the correct heading card which says "Real Words" or "Nonsense Words". You can also have your students work on a table, the floor, or sort them into a pocket chart.

To prepare:
Print your cards onto cardstock for added durability. Cut apart and laminate header cards and individual cards. Prepare once and use for years.
Directions for use:
