This is a normal distribution lab that ties in with population genetics and specifically polygenic traits.
Students define some basic words that correspond to population genetics, and then measure their shoe using a ruler. Students share their measurement on the board and construct two graphs (using the same data) to make a normal distribution curve.
There are 5 analysis questions (which may or may not include some scenarios involving zombies).
Answer key included.
This takes approximately 1 class period, or if you'd prefer, can be done in less than one class period with 2nd graph and analysis questions to take home. Completely editable.
