I have found great success with this unit project as it promotes students creativity and inquiry. For this assignment, students are required to "take a trip" to the North American National Park of their choice. While on their trip students are expected to create a PowerPoint or homemade journal that informs their readers about the history and geographic dynamics of the National Park itself. I have created a great student hand-out and project rubric that highlights key requirements such as diary entries, weather reports, and geographical descriptions of the National Park.
