This workbook was designed to meet the North Dakota Teaching Standards on North Dakota Studies. This is the second of three workbooks created to provide students with a chance to research and dig into the history of this state in a very student guided/driven way.
Workbook 2 focuses on explaining the significance of key events and people in North Dakota and tribal history, understand and later describe factors of taxation governing economic decision making in ND and other regions, explain how the U.S. Constitution and Amendments influence society, explaining the political party process at the local, state and national level, examines the relationship among the three branches of government at the state level and finally compares the functions and structure of local, state, tribal and federal governments within North Dakota, through the use of charts, maps and diagrams.
