Updated: September 15, 2017. I added this high school level power point to my TpT store on April 14, 2017, and I continually update it, so it is very timely in regard to the North Korean crisis. By August, 2017 fifty - three teachers have purchased this product. The power point reviews Korean history for 20 slides, deals with the nuclear weapon crisis for 40 slides and includes statements by President Trump and others for 17 slides. A 6 sided note sheet goes along with the power point. The power point includes many maps, charts, editorial cartoons and provocative questions and, therefore, lends itself to students assessing the slides in pairs or triplets. After processing the power point, students should be able to debate US policy options towards North Korea, and/or to write an essay on this topic.
The power point lends itself to your amendments. If you want to shorten it, I'd recommend deleting the 10 editorial cartoons and the section on South Korean history.
If you'd like to learn more on this general topic, check out my "Nine countries have nuclear weapons - why, how, when, etc." power point on my 21st Century Global Studies TpT store.
