If you are looking for a fun review game to reinforce ta/ti-ti and quarter rest or just want (or need) a fun, quick, no-prep Christmas themed activity this resource will be immensely popular with your young students! It comes with two game versions (16 total rhythms) in PDF form for your students to listen to and identify as they help Santa find the bag of toys he lost. A four beat introduction is given before each pattern is heard. Both regular notation as well as stick notation are included! You can use this an individual assessment, have students work in groups or even use the activity as a workstation just before winter break.
For those of you who use a Mac, make sure to open the file in Adobe Reader so the hyperlinks, sound files and animations will work.
