Product Description
The Color Wheel, Rainbow Colors, and Monochromatic Color Schemes, and Geometric Shape all are covered in this fun lesson! My 6th graders really enjoyed this lesson as a review of the color spectrum and The Color Wheel but also as we moved on to study the Art Element Shape. This lesson also builds a strong knowledge base to build upon when it is time to move onto lessons in color mixing and blending watercolor washes together for vibrant colors. As a sub lesson, this drawing can take up to 3 days if drawn on 8.5" x 11" paper or 9" x 12". The lesson could be shortened if paper size is reduced if desired. The lesson plan, examples and handouts make it a very easy lesson for a sub to teach too.

Included in this Product:
-Lesson Plan with Standards
-Step by Step instructions for Substitute and Students
-3 Geometric Shapes & Drawing Idea Handouts
-Teacher Design Success Tips
-Student Examples
-Rainbow/Color Wheel guides to set on tables to assist students
-Color Wheel Chart Printable

This project would be fun a fun seasonal Spring time lesson too. The Rainbow colors against the monochromatic grey background sings "April Showers Bring May Flowers" for sure!
