Does it frustrate you when your students repeatedly show up without their required materials? These printable and easy-to-use not-prepared tickets are a great resource to use as part of your not-prepared policy for this school year.
In my 8th grade classroom, each time students were unprepared (no writing utensil, their Chromebook was not charged, no assignment notebook or other materials), they would receive a tally. If they received three tallies during the month, they would receive a detention. I gave one of these tickets out to each student at the start of every quarter, as well as for prizes along the way. This policy dramatically improved the supplies my students brought to class, and for the first time, I actually still had extra pencils at the end of the year!
